Looks like Take-Two Interactive has started removing some modes of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Take-Two, which has been mentioned with such incidents before, canceled the Red Dead Redemption 2 Turkish patch project and interfered with the free patches of its other games. Take-Two Interactive’s current goal seems to be GTA modes and projects made by gamers.
Removing GTA modes by Take-Two
Recently, the developers of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Grand Theft Auto: Take-Two Interactive, a mode that combines maps of San Andreas, Manhunt and Bully, received a DMCA notice from Take-Two Interactive and were asked to remove such content for copyright infringement. Although it has a very interesting concept, we don’t know if we will ever see GTA: Underground mode again.
And Take-Two didn’t intentionally target the GTA: Underground project. Rumor has it that the PC ports of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories have also been removed. While there is no official explanation as to why Take-Two closed these projects, it seems Take-Two has set its sights on the modes and projects of old GTA games.
