Riot Games introduced its new big event, The Light Guards, with a web puzzle. The Light Guards, which will officially launch on July 8, will offer new experiences for Leagueof Legends , League of Legends: Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, Teamfight Tactics and VALORANT, allowing players to join the adventure over their favorite Riot game.
Light Guards era begins in Riot Games games
The Light Guards event will also provide players around the world with opportunities to contribute to their local communities through the Riot Games Community Impact Fund. The fund’s latest event, the Tree Ata Ornn campaign, raised more than $7 million.
The Light Guards will also be a sequel to Riot Games’ first story-telling, which began with Viego’s return in January in the “Disaster” video and lasted for several months. The image in the announcement includes Viego and Gwen, who came to the game earlier in the year, as well as familiar LoL champions Lucian, Senna and Thresh.
The bottom character is a first look at Riot’s “The Lost Guardian,”which has been snappered around for some time. Likewise, his gun fits perfectly with the image shared in April. Players who solved the web puzzle also learned that the champion’s name was Akshan. More information on the Akshan and Light Guards event will be shared in the coming weeks.
