Tameem Antoniades, the game’s creative director, said in a statement that the Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II team is currently working on the main foundations of the game before moving on to the later stages. So it’s kind of underlined that they need a longer period of time to get the game in front of us. At best, I personally think that the game we will see in 2022 could even be extended to 2023.
The statement also announced that the game’s mo-cap, i.e. motion capture, is continuing. Senua’s Saga: Hellblade IIwill be realistic and quite brutal for the fighting system. The developer team wanted the game to be special and original, especially the fighting system, and accordingly continued to work. For this reason, it was also noted that those involved in mocap studies, especially the actress who gave life to Seuna, received two years of combat training.
Announced at The Game Awards ceremony in 2019, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is being developed using the Unreal Engine graphics engine for Xbox Series X and PC platforms.
