Japan-based video game developer Koei Tecmo has released financial figures for the first quarter of the fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2022. The results of this quarter show that Koei Tecmo made a profit.
Such positive results include the release of new games and strong sales of titles such as Nioh 2: Complete Edition. Samurai Warriors 5, released in Japan alone (to be released in the west on July 27), sells 280,000 copies as of June 30, allowing for profit.
Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection, which is currently published worldwide, reached 240,000 copies as of June 30. Therefore, sales increased by 6.7 percent and profit increased by 20 percent for the second quarter.
