Publisher D3 and its developer Sandlot have announced the release of Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair. The game will come to Switch consoles and debut in Japan in 2022. The Western version has not yet been announced.
Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair was first released for playStation 4 in Japan in April 2015, then in North America in December 2015 and europe in February 2016. In July 2016, a PC version was released worldwide via Steam.
