Blizzard is going through one of the most turbulent periods in its history these days. When we think about the emergence of scandals within the company, lawsuits, resignations, dismissals, the name Blizzard has shrunk in our eyes. In fact, after personally learning the inside story of what happened at the company, even though I didn’t have the slightest interest in Blizzard games, there’s a game story, and we need to share that.
Blizzard’s game Diablo Immortal, which will carry the famous Diablo series mobile, will not be released in 2021 as previously planned. The game’s new release date has been updated to the first half of 2022.
Currently undergoing closed alpha tests, the game continues to take shape in light of feedback from players. But Blizzard announced that the planned changes as a result of these notifications would not be able to reach 2021 as they had previously thought, so they postponed the game until 2022 to save more time.
Diablo Immortal will be joined by new 8-man raids, plus the game’s existing Bounty system will change and challenge rifts will be more rewarding. In the PvP section, the game’s Battleground system and Cycle of Strife will be overhauled.
For now, Diablo 2: Resurrected is unchanged from its release date, and is set to be released on September 23. Diablo 4 doesn’t have a release date yet.
