If you’re a kid like me with Amiga, as soon as you hear the name Zool, you’re already on the nostalgia train. This extremely difficult platform game was one of my favorites at the time, I loved both games of the series, I also loved the design of the main character.
Sumo Digital has announced that it will revive this classic platform game. Zool Redimensioned says it’s “made from scratch for today’s players,” but fortunately there’s no such sharp change in graphics. It looks more like an HD version of the old version, which I think is a good thing. “Zool;’s old-fashioned platform action will challenge even the toughest players” means they don’t touch the difficulty of the game. So you can understand what the old players are going through:)
Of course, features such as level selection screen, checkpoints, etc. have been added to the game. This means that you will not face the extra difficulty caused by the absence of such features in the past.
This new version also adds new hidden parts to the episodes, including the Mega Drive version of the game. It’s said to be out later this month, but the price isn’t set, so I immediately added it to my wish list.
