The Embracer Group, one of the few giant conglomerates in the gaming industry, came up with the news of a mass acquisition. The conglomerate, which also includes major publishers such as Gearbox, THQ Nordic and Deep Silver, said it had acquired seven studios, including Duke Nukem; developer 3D Realms and Deep Rock Galactic; and Ghost Ship Games, the developer.
Other studios include Graven;’s developer Slipgate Ironworks, VR studio Force Filed, Huntdown’s developer Easy Trigger, Digixart and mobile gaming studio Crazy Labs.
Embracer Group paid $315 million for all these studios.
Of these acquired studios, 3D Realms and Slipgate Ironworks will operate under Saber Interactive; force field and Digixart Koch; and Ghost Ship Games and Easy Trigger will operate under Coffee Staine.
