Following the announcement of Dead Space Remake at the EA Play event, various details about this new game are gradually being shared. The most intriguing information we have learned is that the whole game will be presented with a single shooting technique, that is, without camera interruption, just like god of war.
Roman Campos-Oriola, the game’s creative director, says that while this is a remake, everything is completely recreated using the Frostbite engine. “We recreate using Frostbite, brand new visuals, new character models, new environments – all new materials, though we base them all on original designs. There are new parts, décor, collision models. We do everything from scratch, but we keep the same story and the same structure.”
SSDs on PS5 and Xbox Series will greatly enhance the experience with fast load times, Campos-Oriola said, adding that their goal is to provide a completely seamless experience. “From the start screen to the final credits, it’s going to be a one-shot game with no interruptions,” he says.
The release date for the new Dead Space is yet to be announced, but it will be available on PC and next-generation consoles.
