Streets of Rage 4’s production team, Dotemu, was acquired by Focus Home Interactive (A Plague Tale: Innocence, Curse of the Dead Gods, The Surge 2), a France-based video game developer and publisher. In a statement recently posted on its official Focus Home Interactive social media accounts, the company said a contract had been signed to buy 77.5% of Dotemu’s shares. Dotemu, known for reviving retro productions such as Streets of Rage 4, is a very successful studio.
Focus Home Interactive acquires Streets of Rage 4 producer
The France-based company, which is both a game developer and publisher, seems to have big plans for the future. Focus Home Interactive, whose name we often see with the games it broadcasts in the gaming world, has acquired Streets of Rage 4 producer Dotemu, a passionate team of about 30 people.
Dotemu, which is frequently brought up with retro productions developed and reintroduced to the market, is an expert studio in its field. Dotemu; Final Fantasy is known for developing and re-launching legendary brands such as Another World, Double Dragon and Streets of Rage, which has recently been played by more than 2.5 million people worldwide.
