Hive, a subsidiary of Korean company Vespa, acquired licensing rights from Sega to develop Shining Force games and announced RPG Shining Force: Heroes of Light and Darkness for mobile. In the first half of 2022, it will be released worldwide as a free-to-play game with in-app purchases. There are no beta tests planned.
Heroes of Light and Darkness will have the unique environment and storyline of the Shining Force series.
