Xenoblade Chronicles 3, the sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles 2, is in the final stages of development, according to a Fanbyte report citing anonymous sources by former Game Informer senior editor Imran Khan.
The game would normally be announced earlier this year and released this winter. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the development process has been affected.
Another piece of information emerged during a video chat jenna Coleman, who voiced Melia in the first Xenoblade Chronicles, on a YouTube channel (Din’s Meteorite) in June.
Coleman said during the conversation: “When was the first game? Was it, like, ten years ago? It’s been a long time – I did it before Doctor Who and they wanted me to go back to what they wanted to do the latter. And I think they’re going to make another one. (That’s when he paused). yes, I think they’re going to make another one. But I’m not sure if I’m allowed to say that.”
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was released for switch on December 1, 2017. Game 3 will feature more characters than previous games, including both playable and enemies.
