Steam Next Fest (formerly the Steam Game Festival) was a pretty good event where we had the opportunity to play demos of hundreds of games. More than 700 games, both recently released and still under construction, were introduced to the cast.
In fact, we’ve proposed 26 demos for you, so don’t lose the link, but when the next Next Fest starts on October 1st, you can still take a look at these games 🙂
Valve shared some numerical information about Next Fest, which suggests that the odds of being added to the wish list of the games participating in this festival and switching from the wish list to the sales in the somra have increased considerably.
Valve said that the number of games added to the wish list during the festival increased by around 421%, and that even a month after the festival, the number of additions to the wish list for these games was 15% higher than two weeks before the festival.
During Next Fest, the return on sale of games added to the wish list increased by 292%. This means that these festivals are extremely beneficial for developers, especially indie producers.
