Unity bought Parsec for $320 million.
Parsec is a desktop capture application. Using Parsec, a user can transfer video game images over an Internet connection. It is also used by major gaming companies such as Electronic Arts, Ubisoft and Square Enix.
Parsec has grown significantly as the world adapts to the COVID-19 pandemic and more companies move to a remote working model. The company’s subscription business is growing by 170% annually. Parsec’s success helped it raise $25 million in a series B financing round in December.
