The semi-final stage of the Vodafone FreeZone Championship League was completed on 21-22 August. Galatasaray Esports and Nasr Esports have registered their names for the 2021 Turkish Grand Final.
Nasr Esports faced GALAKTICOS on the first day of the semi-final stage. Nasr Esports finished second in the league stage and GALAKTICOS in third place. The series was expected to be contentious. However, Nasr Esports managed to perform dominantly from start to finish. Nasr Esports, who won 3-0 with a superb performance from Lebanese midfielder Giyuu, made his name in the 2021 Turkish Grand Final.
Nasr Esports joined the VFŞL in the 2021 Winter Season and was eliminated in the quarterfinals in its first season. Nasr Esports, who became a much more ambitious team with his reinforcements in the Summer Season, has reached the final in his second season in the league.
On the second day of the semi-final stage, Galatasaray faced Esports and Besiktas. Galatasaray finished top of the Esports league stage, while Besiktas remained in sixth place. As such, Galatasaray Esports was expected to win the series comfortably. Besiktas managed to surprise everyone at this point and pushed their opponent quite hard. However, the performance was not enough. Galatasaray Esports won the series 3-1, with support player Zergsting making it to the final.
Galatasaray Esports and Nasr Esports, who successfully left the semi-finals, made their names in the final. The 2021 Turkish Grand Final, in which the best League of Legends team of the year will be announced in Turkey, will take place at the Volkswagen Arena on Saturday (September 4th).
