Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has released a new trailer for gamescom 2021 detailing numerous on-field gameplay features for eFootball™, the brand new football simulation platform of pes and winning eleven producers.
Seitaro Kimura, producer of the eFootball™ series, said, “With so many changes we have made this year, we believe it is important for players to first understand the feeling that our football game will bring on the field – a reflection of our passion for very realistic and real-world football. Decades of experience developing PES and Winning Eleven have been transferred to eFootball to reach football fans around the world. This is the beginning of a unique journey and we have great plans for the future,” he said.
Control the touch of the ball
Just like in real football, players will be able to control both the speed of the ball and the hardness of the shots, from the first touch to the money. In addition, eFootball™ will use the controller® tactile feedback and adaptive triggers to make the difference in player movements on PlayStation®5*.
Don’t fool the defender
We’ve turned almost every game into a mutual mind game, giving players more freedom to control how they store the ball*. You will be able to use a wide range of ball riding and body play moves through intuitive commands. When these come together, the positions you face will provide an exciting experience for both offensive and defensive players.
Steal the ball and create new opportunities
Players can block their opponent’s shots by throwing their bodies forward or by reading the shot and cutting the pass. Naturally, you will be able to have an excellent goal opportunity by playing the ball in a position close to the opponent’s goal.
Physical Struggle
eFootball™ activates the “physical defense”, which is very important in real-life football, with an offensive command during defense. In addition, the offensive team can also use their bodies to keep the ball in play, making both the offensive and defensive game more dynamic.
Sharp Kick**
The “sharp stroke” option, which comes with brand new animations, will make the game even more technical and exciting. Players will be able to make special shots such as sharp middles, fast-paced passes and aerial shots. Since these new moves take more time to perform, it is very important for players to choose the right moments during the match.
One-on-One Encounters
eFootball™ development team analyzed real-life football tactics to create a new win/lose rule set of “1vs1”. With Motion Matching technology, the game evaluates the ball, speed of movement, body orientation, physical ability and more in real time to influence each player’s movement. These win/lose rules work with the player movement to make the game more credible, including revised foul decisions.
Advanced team play and new controls
Team play is a must in football; therefore, the artificial intelligence that controls topless players has been renewed. Players will have the freedom to play as they wish by combining it with new offensive and defensive controls.
A new camera: Battle (Duel)
The new “Duel” camera zooms in on the player’s 1vs1 status, allowing the player to enjoy the one-on-one match scene from a closer distance. When the player is free, his field of view expands and allows the player to send a long pass at the right moment.
General improvements
The new Motion Matching animation system creates much more natural and fluid player movements. In addition, new improvements in ball movement have been achieved through collaboration with a research center. Finally, thanks to the Seamless Restart system, the action will never stop during the match.
More information about game modes, licenses, mobile devices, release date and more will be announced in September, so please stay tuned.
eFootball™ will be released worldwide for the first time this fall as a free-to-play platform ®;d PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows® 10 and PC Steam, followed by iOS and Android versions.
