Jesse McCree was also the name father of Overwatch’s famous character McCree. Blizzard said he would not be indifferent to calls from the player community, and that commentators would not pronounce the name McCree during the match broadcasts.
Blizzard says it’s a difficult task to change the name of a character who will change McCree’s name, but who is so beloved and at the center of the game, that they need some time to do so.
“From now on, we will no longer take the names of in-game characters from real employees, but we will be more thoughtful when adding real-world references to future Overwatch content,” the statement said.
We know that most of Blizzard’s games feature the beloved names of various employees or the community. Finally, world of warcraft; cosby crew’s number one name, Alex Afrasiabi; was named Field Marshal Afrasiabi; field marshal stonebridge was changed.
The name McCre is also abundant in World of Warcraft, and it’s likely scarlet Lord Jesseriah McCree, Jessup McCree, Marshal McCree and others will have their names changed.
