Guild Wars 2 has Directx 11 support. ArenaNet said long-term visual enhancement and performance improvements are planned for MMORPG, which turns 9, through Directx 11. The open beta, which begins on September 21st, will give you a chance to try guild wars 2 with Directx 11 support. The game currently has DX9 support.
Guild Wars 2 Directx 11 support is planned to extend the life of the game
Producers ArenaNet have longer-term plans for GW2, which will welcome new content with the End Of Dragons supplemental package to be released in February 2022. James Fulop, the game’s chief programme engineer, said the addition of Guild Wars 2 Directx 11 support had long been planned:
“It is our priority for our players to play with a decent performance while playing GW2. And we want everyone to play the game at as high FPS as possible. We were aware of problems such as the fact that the game sometimes gets stuck because of the lengthy rendering phase. Guild Wars 2 is a game that’s over 9 years old, and with the possibilities DX 11 has to offer, we want to make the game’s image even more beautiful over time.”
Falop also stated that they are aware that Directx 11 is not a new technology, but that the relative stability of the game does not require adaptation to new software such as the DX 12. Arena Net plans to eliminate the Directx 9 version of Guild Wars 2 over time, transferring everything to the DX 11 version.
Guild Wars 2was added to Steam last year.
