Wizards of the Coast, one of the first names that comes to mind when it comes to role-playing, announced that it is developing a big-budget G.I. Joe game with a new video game studio. This studio ( now referred to as the New Raleigh-Durham Studio), which recruits veterans from WB Games and other AAA studios, chose G.I. Joe as its first project.
Judging by the game-related job postings, this multi-platform game will be an AAA 3rd Person Action/Adventure game. For now, the ads are looking for technical director, artistic director, head game designer and chief animator, and ask for the Unreal Engine experience.
Wizards of the Coast was acquired by toy giant Hasbro in 1999. Hasbro also includes brands ranging from G.I. Joe to Sesame Street; My Little Pony; Trolls; transformers; You see, this new studio can develop games that focus on different Hasbro brands in the future.
