Years ago, winning eleven and the Fifa series were all in the competition. Then pes dominated the market for football games for a long time. But in recent years, Fifa has gained enough popularity to drag its opponent to the brink of closure. So much so that the name PES is already missing. But we may also be saying goodbye on behalf of Fifa.
EA dropped the bomb in our lap in a new blog post. The developers expressed that they are very happy with the sale of the game and said that important decisions will be made about the future of the FIFA series. The most important of these decisions will be the licensing rights of the FIFA name.
Explaining that it combines many different licenses under one roof, the developer says that in the future they want to give the game its own name. Announcing that the naming rights agreement with FIFA could be shelved, the developer stressed that his priority was to “deliver the world’s greatest interactive football experiences.”
It will be too much for me to say goodbye on behalf of FIFA after PES…
