The long-awaited Doom Eternal Horde mode will be added to the game next week. After Doom Eternal’s Invasion modewas suspended due to the pandemic, Id Software stated that they focused their attention on Horde modebased on the logic of “Fight to death”.
It is predictable that FPS Doom Eternal players based on pure action feel the lack of such a mode.
Doom Eternal Horde mode to replace previously postponed mode
In fact, Id Software had another plan in mind to replace Horde mode. Firm, by entering other players’ matches, you could become a nuisance by replacing powerful enemies. In other words, it would bring a different understanding of the game’s PVP understanding, but Id Software abandoned the idea due to the pandemic.
We can imagine hardcore doom players looking forward to this mode, where they will try to survive while a lot of enemies rain down on them. Along with Doom Eternal Horde mode, a two-against-one mode for multiplayer, a new arena and back-to-back winning series rewards will come with two new Master levels.
Doom Eternal Game chief Hugo Martin and community manager Joshua Boyle will provide more details about Horde mode at an event tonight.
