Over the years, the most important trump card of the Sony front has been playstation-specific games. There came a time when these productions became the engine of the gaming world (see God of War, The Last of Us et al.). But the era is changing now, it’s getting harder to keep players on one platform, or more accurately, on a single platform, only a certain part of the player’s potential can be achieved.
This table, as such, forces companies to develop in different directions. For example, we see Microsoft making very good moves with its “player ecosystem” approach and Game Pass. Sony intends to respond to this change in its own way, and has started to show this by bringing ps-exclusive games to the PC.
It was curious how far Sony’s PC move would go, but the latest move, the arrival of God of War on THE PC, has revealed how seriously they are now handling this. One of the pointers to this was the branding of “PlayStation PC”.
Recently, Steam users noticed that sony games that came to PC had “PlayStation PC LLC” instead of “PlayStation Mobile” in thedistributor section. When controlled from CorporationWiki; The PlayStation PC name appears to have been registered last April.
Of course, such nomenclature is actually a formality, basically it’s all PlayStation, it’s all Sony’s brand, isn’t it:) Nevertheless, it is possible to interpret it as a remarkable development in terms of demonstrating that Sony cares about the PC front and that they will come up with more games in this field in the coming period.
