Chris Kaleiki, a longtime member of the World of Warcraft universe, left Blizzard last year because he was unhappy with the state of the game. Kaleiki received investment from many people for his own studio, Notorious Studios; his last supporter was Riot Games.
This support package includes a $5 million investment, VentureBeat reported. But it seems Riot Games is not alone in this investment. Combining forces with two different companies, Galacy Interactive and 1Up Ventures, the manufacturer will allow Kaleiki to realize his dreams.
Kaleiki uses important explanations for this investment in the statement posted on the official site. The developer shared that Riot Games cares as much about the player experience as they do, and that many people who used to work at Blizzard are now part of Riot Games.
Blizzard’s new project, Notorious Studios, which consists of eight veterans, is not yet known.
