If we were a clickbait-loving site, I’d write this story “Bloodborne’s coming to PC” and then eat a lot of profanity. It’s not a lie, there’s a Bloodborne coming to the PC, but it’s not bloodborne as we know it. It’s fan-made. A Bloodborne piece made with PS1 graphics 🙂
If you recall, I told you about this project earlier this year. Lilith Walther started recreating Bloodborne with low-polygon graphics and mechanics as if she were working on a console 20 years ago, and made some pretty good progress on this project using Unreal Engine. You can remember therelevant news here.
That game, or Bloodborne PSX as it’s called, will be released on January 31, 2022, and it’s accompanied by a beautiful trailer.
Lilith Walther made some statements about the game so there wouldn’t be any misunderstandings.
There’s only one part of the game up to Father Gascoigne, but some regions have been improved and bonus content is available. Since the game is a fan production, of course it is free, and even a few months after the game is released, it will also share its source code. CRT effects are completely optional, you can turn them off if you want, or adjust the intensity.
The game is made for PC with Unreal Engine, which means it cannot work on PS1; or emulator.
If you can’t wait until the real Bloodborne pc arrives, take a look at this cute production when it comes out.
