It’s probably not wrong to say that games that make the world around us part of the playing field with augmented reality have gained popularity with Pokemon GO. The spread of Pokemon GO like a craze had whet appetite in this area, and we saw games in a similar style being developed after it. One of these games was Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, developed by Niantic, which also made Pokemon GO. It seems that after nearly two and a half years, the road has come to an end for Wizards Unite.
“Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will officially close on January 31, 2022 and be removed from app stores on December 6, 2021,” the message posted on the game’s twitter page reads. details of this process are also providedon the game’s website.

This actually brings to mind a table that we often encounter: The popularity of a game genre does not mean that all games developed in that genre will automatically become very popular. If even the game of an important brand like Harry Potter is at some point reaching the point of shuttering, I think it’s important lessons to learn from this, what do you say, dear Gamers?
