Konami announced that it has postponed the eFootball 2022 1.0.0 update, scheduled for release on November 10, 2021, until spring 2022. Faced with serious backlash since its release, the production has managed to become one of Steam’s most hated games and has many irrelevant tags, such as psychological fear– anime – although the psychological horror label has been corrected, the anime tag still stands. The production, which continues to give Konami a hard time, seems to continue to draw reactions with its big postponed update.
The update, which will be the salvation of eFootball 2022, has been postponed
“We concluded that more time was needed to deliver the product in quality that met the expectations of our users and decided to postpone the release date,” the postponement announced on the game’s official website said, treating the current version of the game as a ‘demo’. Update 1.0.0 was set to add multiple new options, new player types, micropayments, and more to play the ‘Creative Teams’ mode of eFootball 2022. This update was also scheduled to be released for mobile devices.
It was also announced today that Konami has cancelled pre-orders for the ‘Premium Player Pack’ (£32.99/$39.99), which will not be available until the 1.0.0 patch is released, and will automatically refund all pre-ordering users. “Refunds may take some time to complete,” the company said, and plans to release an error correction update later today.
