Although Starfield uses a new game engine, it will be fully modable and will come with full mode support. We can’t think of a Bethesda game without human mode anyway, and we’re extremely used to the mods fixing most bugs and lack of visuals in these games.
Starfield will use Creation Engine 2, which of course was a question of what modlicability this engine change would bring. While expectations are that this will be less modlerable than previous Bethesda games, Todd Howard’s statements have touched the hearts of mod lovers.
“Our plan is to have complete mode support, just like in our previous games,” Howard said. Our mod community has been with us for 20 years. We love what they do and hope that more will make a career out of it.”
From these words, Starfield’s mod possibilities will be at least like Skyrim and Fallout, and the Nexus Mods page will be full of mods.
