One of the most critical aspects of Call of Duty: Warzone is that it uses the same map continuously, unlike other battle royale games it competes with. The map, which has undergone minor changes with Black Ops Cold War, hasn’t changed in almost a year and a half. But with Vanguard, that’s going to change.
The first details of this new map we’ve been after for a long time came from Activision CCO; Sharing a photo of his special coat for Call of Duty: Vanguard on his twitter account, the manager also showed him the map of Warzone standing in it.
From the top left, you can see that the map is called “Operation Alpha”. Judging by the topographical structure of the map, plenty of high terrain will be waiting for us. The map shows submarine bases, a coastguard line and a fishing village. There may even be an active volcano in the middle of the map…
