The fact that the exchange rate is rising freely and steps are not taken to prevent it is causing price increases in all kinds of products, including, of course, computer hardware and consoles.
Just two weeks ago, the Xbox Series consoles received a currency-based price update (ZAM!), and the price of the Xbox Series X increased from 7500 liras to 9500 liras and the price of the Xbox Series S increased from 4900 liras to 5600 liras. Of course, we didn’t think to say “these are better days” when we thought these were terrible prices.
Xbox Series consoles have been priced up again, and the new prices are as follows:
Xbox Series X: 7500 → 9500 → 12000
Xbox Series S: 4900 → 5600 → 7000
So you can now get a Series S for the price you got for Series X two months ago. This time, I guess you’d have to tie the donkey to a good stake and say, “These are our better days.”
We can’t see the new price because the PlayStation 5 isn’t in stock, but it’s fantasist to think it’s going to be lower than Xbox Series X.
I’ll see you next time.
