Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is one of my favorite action role-playing games in my home. In fact, I have to say, it’s not exactly unique in terms of gameplay and content richness. Literally hundreds of side missions, lots of different factions, a deep story, fun gameplay; I’d say he’s got everything you’d expect to see from this kind of game. It’s not too late to meet R.A. Salvatore, Todd McFarlane and Oblivion’s lead designer, Ken Rolsto.
In fact, while you’re at it, let me leave a link to our review here and see for yourself what this game is or isn’t:
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning’s brand new DLC pack Fateworn was announced a year ago, but little has been announced about it. Now we have a story summary in addition to the release date.
Set in a brand new area called Fatesworn Mithros, it has snowy tundra, dark caves, mountain villages and a lake city called Crownhold. The God of Chaos, Telogrus, has awakened and his followers have gathered to plunge the world back into chaos, and that’s where we’ll step in.
Fatesworn offers a main story of about 6-7 hours, while also raising the level limit, adding 25 new Chaos dungeons, lots of new enemies, weapons, armor sets, etc. Of course, considering there will be many side missions and factional tasks outside the main story, we’ll probably be back to about 20 hours.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Fatesworn is scheduled for December 14.
