Vince Zampella, CEO of Respawn Entertainment; he was put in charge. Today, it was announced that Zampella will now be the head of the Battlefield series. It also said that the Ripple Effect studio, which developed Battlefield 2042’s Portal mode, will create new Battlefiend experiences, and the new Seattle studio, led by Master Chief; Marcus Lehto, will also be interested in Battlefield.
DICE’s chief executive, Oskar Gabrielson, is leaving the firm and being replaced by Ubisoft Annecy studio director Rebecka Coutaz. So, you see, Battlefield 2042’s frustration failure (which manifests itself in reviews rather than sales) has played many gems across DICE and Battlefield.
From now on, we’ll start seeing new standalone Battlefield games from different studios, and all of this will gradually expand the new Battlefield universe.
By the way, the studio we call Ripple Effect is actually DICE L.A. that I mentioned at the beginning of the article.
All these innovations will take us to the point where battlefield will take its name, and time will tell.
