TP-Link is making mercusys®, a subnet brand, more active in Turkey. Mercusys, which has been offering certain models to users at some outlets for some time, is now in the Turkish market with a wider distribution channel and product range.
TP-Link held a press conference to promote its new brand and goals, stressing that Mercusys is a ‘budget friendly’ network brand. In fact, Mercusys has been operating in the Chinese market under the name ‘Mercury’ since 2001, and opened to the international market in 2016, said Ali Dinçer, Deputy Country Director. Dinçer explained that mercusys’ non-China sales increased by about 264 percent in 2020 and they expect this increase to continue in the coming years. Both the product range is increasing and the sales channel is expanding. We aim to see the results of this starting next year.”
50 Percent Growth Targeted in 2022
Dinçer said that the Mercusys brand will reach a business volume of $2 million in Turkey this year, and that they aim to increase this figure to $3 million next year. “50 percent growth in a challenging market as a new brand is a very good goal. We believe that we will achieve this with our experienced team and sales network,” Dinçer said, adding that price-sensitive consumers will not be condemned to underperforming, support services problematic products, and Mercusys will fill this gap.
The Mercusys brand includes network solutions that a home needs, from Wi-Fi range extenders to routers, network adapters to home switches and powerline adapters. Dinçer said that there are Mercusys solutions with new network technologies such as Wi-Fi 6 and Mesh Wi-Fi and that these products are also available in the Turkish market, adding that the number of models will increase steadily.
From Production to After-Sales Support, Quality at The Forefront
Dinçer said that quality is at the forefront of every stage of Mercusys products from design to production. In Turkey, both our sales network and support services are carried out jointly. In other words, Mercusys products are guaranteed by TP-Link. Consumers can buy Mercusys network products and use them without problems.”
