Three years ago, Ubisoft announced that in 2018 it would develop a new game for Settlers, one of the most beloved real-time strategy, city building games of all time. However, although the game is expected to be released in the fall of 2019, Ubisoft announced that it was postponing the game until 2020.
However, there was no improvement in 2020, and by the summer we had received news of a new postponement instead of a game. “We are on the right track to create a great game, but we want to give you an outstanding gaming experience. Since quality is our first priority, we want not to rush to get this right,” Ubisoft said, avoiding giving any dates, delaying the game to an uncertain time.
I think we’re nearing the end of the road by now, and the new tweet reminds us once again of the settlers name. “The Settlers are back! Wait for January 2022 for more news!” says Ubisoft.
Ubisoft also says players can register on The Settlers website “to get a chance to play.” It’s probably going to start beta soon, and they’re going to have to choose from those who have signed up for it.
