GSC Game World moved when it announced that there would be NFT’s in Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl. Supposedly, the game will have its own metaverse reputation, and players will be able to take part in the game as metahumans by taking NFT in NPC form… Unnecessary unnecessary work, efforts to make money, you see.
What the developer probably didn’t anticipate was that the players would suddenly bury the game in the ground. Just enter the Discussions section ofthe game’s Steam page to see the gravity of the situation , you’ll be surprised by the level of what you’ll see if you search for NFT.
Following these developments, last night GSC Game World announced that they were abandoning all NFT-related plans.
The message from the official Stalker Twitter account reads: “We have heard of you. Based on the feedback we received, we have decided to give up everything related to Stalker 2; The interests of our fans and players are a top priority for our team. We develop this game for you to enjoy, at all costs. If you care, we care.”
GSC Game World would collaborate with DMarket, the NFT platform for these products.
