Developer WayForward has announced that the PlayStation 5 version of River City Girls will debut in North America and Europe on January 18. Users who have the PlayStation 4 version of River City Girls will be able to upgrade to PlayStation 5 for free.
River City Girls was first released on Steam for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC in September 2019.
Once again, there’s trouble on the streets of dangerous River City, but this time men are out of line! In this all-new entry in the legendary beat ’em up series, raging heroes Kuni and Riki are captured, and it’s up to their powerful girlfriends Kyoko and Misako to answer for it.
In the city, whether alone or with a friend in a local co-op game, you’ll gain new skills, load reinforcements, use a range of weapons, and unleash an arsenal of special attacks, shots and combinations that bad boys will fearfully use as you advance through punching and hitting, all in a 16-bit style.
