Steam has set a new record for the number of simultaneous players. According to SteamData, more than 28 million players appeared on the platform on January 9, 2022.
Steam surpassed 27 million in November 2021. This basically means that Valve’s digital service surpassed its previous record every month and a half.
In addition to breaking the new record for simultaneous players, Steam ranked Counter-Strike: Global Offensive at the top of the list of most played games in the process. Then came DOTA 2, PUBG Battlegrounds and Apex Legends. GTA 5 was fifth, followed by Rust, New World and ARK. Football Manager 2022 was ranked 9th and Team Fortress 2 was 10th.
