We were thrilled to hear that Quantic Dream, famous for its story games, is developing a new Star Wars game called Star Wars Eclipse. The Twitter account @AccNgT, which announced Star Wars Eclipse days before it was announced at The Game Awards, now says Quantic Dream is developing a second AAA game.
This second game is based on the technology demo The Dark Sorcerer. Detroit: Become Human also came to life from a tech demo called Kara.
The new game is said to be a game that will highlight the humorous aspect, being developed by the main team in Paris and using more advanced technologies from Star Wars Eclipse.
The Dark Sorcerer technology demo was a 12-minute video, where we saw a sorcerer cast a black spell, and then we learned it was a film set.
Eclipse is said to be at least two or three years away from release, and I don’t think Quantic Dream will last that long. So I think the release of this new game could happen before Eclipse.
