According to the Nvidia CFO (Chief Financial Officer), the video card crisis of the last few years will begin to settle from the second half of 2022.
Different “end dates” are constantly being proposed about the shortage of chips, supplies and hardware that deeply affects the gaming world. It has previously been claimed that the chip crisis could be replaced by abundance by 2023.
Nvidia’s new forecast on video card crisis
Nvidia CFO Colette Kress has previously suggested that this supply shortage will continue through the first quarter of 2021, but the problem persisted throughout 2021. As we enter the month of 2022, the situation is still not very encouraging. However, Collette Kress, who attended a conference on January 11th, again gave hope about the video card crisis.
Asked about the issue, Kress replied:
“Together with our partners in the supply chain, we are working hard to increase the amount of products we have. And we believe our stocks will be much better off as the calendars enter the second half of 2022.”
While Nvidia has been positive about the chip and supply crisis, Intel CEO Pat Gelseger does not expect the supply crisis to end until 2023.
