The director of Respawn Entertainment’s as-yet-un announced project, which has signed on to such films as Titanfall and Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, announced on Twitter that he was quitting his job. The new Respawn game, which has not yet been announced, first came up last year. The first-person shooter-type game was working on a lively and cool style.
Work underway for new Respawn game
Mohammad Alavi said in a statement that he had parted ways with the company and was proud to take part in projects such as Titanfall and Apex Legends. The director, who has contributed to the gaming industry for 18 years, had been working at Respawn for 11 years. Describing his departure as “the end of an era,” Alavi said he was excited about his next adventure. Despite Alavi’s departure, development for the new Respawn game is underway.
The untitled game, which is still in early development and opened with a very small team, is scheduled to be launched in 2024 or 2025. It is among the first details to be shared at this time that the game is not a project related to Titanfall or Star Wars. It is not yet known who will fill the director’s chair, which Mohammad Alavi has emptied.
