Capcom announced this morning that Monster Hunter Rise has surpassed 8 million worldwide sales.
Monster Hunter Rise was released for the Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2021, and had 7 million sales as of May 27. The PC version of the game was released about a week ago, on January 12, 2022.
Although Capcom has not yet announced how much it sells on PC; we can estimate that this already amounts to a sale of several hundred thousand. Due to the new campaigns and discount periods, the PC side will exceed 1 million in the near future.
As of September 2021, the Monster Hunter series had total sales of more than 78 million.
