Did you know that Brandon Sanderson, the famous author of such series as Sissoylu, Stormlight Archive, is a fan of From Software? Sanderson’s comments at Dragonsteel MiniCon last year have only just emerged, and the author jokingly revealed his resentment toWards From Software, as if 🙂
Sanderson brought the word to Elden Ring in the segment, which discussed issues related to his participation in The Fortnite.
“Let me be offended. From Software decides to develop a fantasy game and collaborate with a fantasy writer, and then chooses someone who has played all their games since King;s Field, who has made their games among his favorite games, and who has been doing so for years, spending his days blogging about the NFL.
What were you thinking? George isn’t playing games! George has no idea!”
George Martin has already explained that his knowledge of video games is extremely limited. “I’m not interested in video games. I’d played strategy games like Railrood Tycoon, Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Master of Orion at the time, but the Elden Ring offer was too exciting to refuse,” Martin said.
Miyazaki summed up Martin’s contributions as “Elden Ring world was built on Martin’s myth, even I sometimes find it hard to hide my excitement.” In fact, Sanderson might have been a good choice in that respect, and then George Martin would have had enough time to finish Game of Thrones.
