Microids and Agatha Christie Limited have extended their deal to include two more games. Based on the stories of agatha christie, the author of the famous murder novels, the actors will be accompanied by detective Hercule Poirot.
Microids says that “these games will take players into the Hercule Poirot universe with a revisited classic and a whole new adventure”. The “revisited classic” part here is remarkable, considering that microids has only two Agatha Christie plays published to date, it’s not a play, it’s a classic novel; I think it is. One of the plays microids released was Agatha Christie – The ABC Murders, and the other was Agatha Christie – Hercule Poirot: The First Cases, which came out in recent months.
If I’m interpreting the sentence correctly, one of the plays will be about a classic Christie novel, and the other will tell a new story set in this world. Hercule Poirot: The First Cases did the same and told a story that wasn’t in the books. But then it doesn’t make much sense to have Agatha Christie in the title of the play. Anyway.
Both games will be developed by different studios, one of which will be the newly established Lyon studio by Microids.
