In its quarterly financial report for the year ended December 31, 2021, Sony announced that the PlayStation 5 sold 17.2 million units worldwide and the PlayStation 4 sold 116.8 million units.
A total of 3.9 million PlayStation 5 and 200,000 PlayStation 4 consoles were sold in the three months ended December 31, 2021. PlayStation 5 sales were down 0.6 million from the same period in the previous fiscal year.
On the other hand, as of December 31, 2021, it has 48 million PlayStation Plus subscribers, an increase of 0.6 million compared to 47.4 million subscribers in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
