Publisher Wired Productions and developers LKA and Caracal Games announced via Twitter that the first-person psychological horror game Martha is Dead will be censored on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Portions that will be censored will be removed from the game or their contents will be changed. Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC versions of the game will not be censored.
The team said of censorship: “We’re sorry you won’t be able to see what we want to offer on PS5 and PS4. We will have to replace certain parts with some items. We’ve been working passionately and hard for over four years. We now need extra time to implement these unplanned changes.”
Martha Is Dead is a dark first-person psychological thriller set in Italy in 1944 that blurs the line between reality, superstition and war tragedy.
It is not known exactly what content will be changed in the PS4 and PS5 versions of Martha Is Dead. Martha Is Dead will debut on February 24.
