The first Mad Max game, Mad Max: Fury Road, was released. Although it was not one of the “groundbreaking” games of his era, he managed to endear himself to some players, including me. With its film-independent storyline, fighting mechanics and car battles, Mad Max provided us with some fun moments.
But even the game’s good sales chart didn’t give Mad Max 2 the green light. It looks like that’s about to change…
Avalanche Studios, now known for its Just Cause series, may be working on the new Mad Max game. Although we haven’t heard an official statement so far, we’re getting the first tips on the game thanks to a tweet from digital designer Wendy Fok. Fuk said he was called to the studio before the pandemic and under-screened for Mad Max 2.

Avalanche Studios has been pretty quiet since 2019’s Rage 2. Even this silence alone is in line with seal’s expressions. If there really is a Mad Max game, there’s a chance we’ll get the first information from it in the coming days.
