Beijing-based ThinkingStars and Lightning Games have announced the release date of ANNO: Mutationem, a cyberpunk-themed action adventure game that combines elements of 2D action platform and 3D exploration.
The game will be released on PC (Steam), PS4 and PS5 on March 17, 2022. The game is also expected to be available for pre-order later in the day.
ANNO: Mutationem was shown at the China Hero Project presentation in 2020 and was noted for its combination of 2D and 3D retro style visuals. The release date announcement is accompanied by a trailer:
In the game we will learn the story of two girls who embark on an adventure to save the day. The game’s game time is around 12 hours, ThinkingStars says.
