Bioware provided information about the status of Dragon Age 4 and Mass Effect 4 in a blog post.
The post , signed by gary mckay, the studio’s general manager, says the new Dragon Age game is in further development than the new Mass Effect game.
“We’re in the middle of the production process in the new Dragon Age game, which feels great. We completed the detailed plan last year, and now we’re focused on projecting our vision: impressive environments, deep characters, strong gameplay, meaningful writing, and creating emotional cinematics. The plan we have prepared for the game is very well understood and our team is focused.
Meanwhile, we have learned that Christian Dailey, one of bioware’s most important figures, has also left bioware and dragon age project. McKay added that Dailey had made a great contribution to the games and leadership team, and that the team would not stray from its path to success after his departure.
Currently, the game’s executive team includes Mac Walters as production director, Corrine Busche as game director and Benoit Huole as product development director.
“The team led by Mike Gamble is made up of both experienced people and new and really talented people,” McKay said of Mass Effect 4. They all actively offer prototypes of new ideas and experiences. Making the next generation of AAA games is a long-term task, and we know that our fans want to get the games back as soon as possible. But our number one priority has to be quality, and we need time to do it the right way.”
It’s not yet clear when Dragon Age 4 and Mass Effect 4 will be released.
