Elden Ring is set to meet with the players as of tonight. Before you set foot in lands between lands, we will first create your character, and then face one of the difficult decisions: the choice of Keepsake.
Keepsake, or heirloom with its Turkish translation, is a one-time gift that we chose at the beginning of the game, which gives us various advantages (and perhaps disadvantages). You know how we used to pick out gifts when we started Dark Souls, you know, something like that.
The gifts in Elden Ring are actually similar to those in other Dark Souls games. Crimson Amber Medallion, for example, boosts your health just like the Life Ring, opens a secret place like Stonesword Key Pharros Lockstone, etc.
There are a total of 9 gifts in the game, their names and descriptions are as follows:
- Crimson Amber Medallion: A medallion that improves maximum health.
- Lands Between Rune: It allows you to earn plenty of runes.
- Golden Seed: Increases the number of flasks.
- Fanged Imp Ashes: The ashes that make you summon a helpful soul.
- Cracked Pot: Three containers in which you can put throwables.
- Stonesword Key: It’s used to unmistress imp sculptures.
- Bewitching Branch: Five sacred branches to draw enemies to your side.
- Boiled Prawn: There are five, temporarily reducing the physical damage you receive.
- Shabriri;s Woe: Increases the aggro range of enemies.
Now, when we look at this list, you’ve already noticed that if you’re not a masochist, you should stay away from Shabriri’s Woe. This gift increases the aggro range of enemies, which makes it quite difficult for you to pass unnoticed or move freely. It is not yet known if there is an advantage.
And the gifts that are numbered and end as you go are unnecessary to me, to be honest. You’ll already come across this kind of stuff during the game, so Boiled Prawn or Bewitching Branch means you’re going to have to waste it.
If you want to relax early in the game , the Crimson Amber Medallion significantly improves health. In fact, when you find a new medallion, you hesitate to use it so that that health doesn’t suddenly drop too much. However, it’s a gift that you can see plenty of benefits until you skip a few levels and improve health, and then it becomes redundant.
Golden Seed is really valuable. It increases the number of flasks you can use, and it’s an item you’ll have trouble finding in the gaming world, especially at the beginning. Starting with 5 flasks instead of a total of 4 flasks will be very useful for the mini boss and boss at the beginning. A permanent increase makes this gift more valuable.
If you want to jump a few levels quickly at the beginning of the game, you can choose Lands Between Rune , but frankly, it feels like a waste of the gift right. After all, if you need it a lot, you’ll be able to collect the same number of runes by running around and farming.
Fanged Imp Ashes is not a very useful gift either. After a little progress early in the game, you’ll find the bell that’s a call to the soul, but by then you’ll probably have found one or two souls. So you won’t have to worry about being soulless anyway.
Stonesword Key is one of the most interesting and possibly the best choices on the list. You’ll find it from time to time in the gaming world, but it’s still a rare item. There’s even one imp statue right at the beginning of the play, so if you start with this gift, you can unmistress it. When you do this, the fog will rise right next door and you will face an extremely (seriously) difficult dungeon according to the starting part of the game. There’s a Chariot out there, mind-blowing 🙂 Of course, at the end of this dungeon, you’ll have some great gifts waiting for you.
Of course, you don’t have to use this key in the statue at the beginning of the game, as in Pharros Lockstone; So it might not be bad to have an extra key in your hand.
In a ranking, Golden Seed, Stonesword Key and Crimson Amber Medallion are the gifts I can recommend. I’ve noted the pros and cons of all three, and the rest is up to your 🙂
