Speaking in the latest episode of Giant Bomb’s GrubbSnax program, Venture Beat’s Jeff Grubb said the service to rival Xbox Game Pass will be coming soon. He said the subscription service, codenamed Project Spartacus, will be available to players shortly.
Grubb added: “The subscription service to rival Xbox Game Pass is very close to release. Something’s probably going to happen later this month. But I don’t think it’s going to be made public right now. I’m just stating that the important milestone of this service will be thrown at this time.”
The service will consist of three levels:
Tier One – Will include existing PlayStation Plus benefits.
Tier Two – Will include a large catalog of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games.
Tier Three – Extended demos will include game streaming and a library of classic PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and PSP games.
Tier Two – Will include a large catalog of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games.
