Valve’s CEO, Gabe Newell, personally delivered some of the Steam Deck devices that were rolling this week. Some lucky people even got a Steam Deck when they didn’t order.
The first person to bring this up is Reddit user ‘bitfiddler0’. Last week, he received an email saying, “Your Steam Deck order arrived early, we’ll deliver it on Saturday,” but thought it was a spam message. So he went skiing with his friends, telling his wife, “Maybe the cargo will come.”
On Saturday, the cargo actually arrived, and it was Gabe Newell himself. Of course, he didn’t know Gabe because his wife had no business with games or anything. He even asked Gabe, who said, “If you have any feedback, you can email me,” “Of course, can I have your name again?” 🙂
Another Reddit user took advantage of his next-door neighbor’s steam deck order. When his roommate said “aha da Gaben,” they called out to Gabe Newell. So he asked how many people were in the house and pulled one Steam Deck out of the van for each one. The Steam Decks by Gabe Newell also bear his signature, so for those who want to sell, we can say that their value is even higher.
